Growing North Carolina-based leader in park and playground products is seeking a motivated representatives to build a sales network. Regional sales have been productive and will experience expanded growth in the southeast US market. Position available: Norfolk, VA/Hampton Roads market.
Competitive applicants should have experience in several of the following areas: sales and marketing, building industry, project management, recreation/parks, working with volunteer boards and an understanding of the procurement process in public agencies. Traits for optimal success include: ability to leverage relationships, strong listening skills, resiliency and effective follow-thru skills. Cultivating and building a customer base and maintaining strong customer care are keys to long-term effectiveness.
Product Multiple product lines features Playcraft Systems, a leader in commercial playground equipment and as well as Playmart Play Systems, a leader in the recycled playground market. Other product lines include a broad range of outdoor amenities, including, shade structures, shelters, athletic/fitness equipment, outdoor furniture, signage, mailboxes and other neighborhood amenities. Customer base includes builders, developers, HOAs, property managers, schools, PTAs, day care centers, parks departments, churches and the hospitality industry.
Sales representatives work remotely in a defined territory (with extensive customer service support and field training). Position requires calling on customers, on-site evaluations, preparing proposals, consulting, responding to bid requests and making presentations. Trade show attendance is required as well as periodic travel to headquarters in Wilmington, NC; occasional evenings.
